VADI Jewels jewelry is handmade and meant to last a long time if worn and cared for carefully. We recommend following the tips below to ensure the longevity of your pieces. There are different techniques for maintaining, cleaning, and energetically cleansing the stones in your jewelry.

 ° Care Tips 
Limit contact of your jewelry with perfumes, creams, and makeup, as these substances can speed up tarnishing and clog the links or settings of your jewelry. Also, remember to take off your jewelry before sleeping, avoid swimming or diving in seawater, and avoid exercising or sweating with your jewelry to prevent significant and faster wear.
It's best to store them individually in a box, in a dry place to prevent them from getting scratched, tangled, or tarnished. Jewelry can catch on clothes or handbag straps. So to avoid any accidents, we recommend putting on your jewelry last when dressing and taking it off first when undressing.

° Cleaning the stones on your jewelry 
Stones are alive and change as you use them: they shift in color, crack, and can even lose their properties if overused. But if you take good care of them and send them positive energy, they'll hold onto it and can give it back to you.

We pay close attention to the energy of the stones. For this reason, we’ve included a process of cleaning the stones using water purification and fumigation before assembling them into your future jewelry. Once received, we let them soak for 2 hours in a bath of demineralized water. When dry, the stones are placed on a sieve and smoked with sandalwood. You can repeat this process at home every year.

° Purification by water
This technique is both simple and effective. After using your stones, let them soak in a bowl of tap water for several hours. This will release the energies they’ve picked up from contact with your body. To avoid chemical contamination from tap water, you can also use demineralized water.

° Purification by salt

Place your jewelry with a stone on a pile of sea salt and let it discharge as the salt absorbs the energies (Guérande or Noirmoutier salt) along with some demineralized water. Then, just let it rest quietly for at least three hours. After this cleansing, rinse it with clear water and let it dry in the sun.

° La fumigation                                                                                                             It involves passing the crystals through the smoke released by incense, sandalwood, or Armenian paper. Use this technique when you want to cleanse stones and crystals that are rarely used or frequently purified.

° Recharge the Stones in the Moonlight
Of course, the moon doesn’t emit its own light since it only reflects the Sun’s light. This reflection has the quality of providing a much softer and subtler light while keeping its original energy. For this reason, it is recommended as a preferred recharging method.

The ideal lunar phase to recharge your gemstone jewelry is therefore the full Moon. This is when the moon reflects the Sun’s light across its entire illuminated face. If the sky is clear, even better—it’s the perfect moment!

Don’t hesitate to expose your jewelry to the Moon; it can only be beneficial for them.

° Recharge the Stones in the Sunlight
This is by far the most common technique for energetically recharging a mineral.

All you need to do is place your jewelry with stones on a windowsill directly exposed to the sun (not through the glass) and leave them there for a few hours. Your stone will soak up the sunlight, transform it, and store its energy, which it will then give back to you when you wear it! Leave them for about 3 hours to ensure a full charge!
