Raw material

Pilchardus sardine is a seaside species, which moves in big schools of fish and at a short depth. It feeds fundamentally on plankton. Its growth is fast, reaches the maximum size during the first two years of life, and can go up to 27 cm in length, though the Portuguese are smaller (until 21-22cm).

Can Preparation

Traditional recipe from A Poveira, in which only quality, 100% natural ingredients are added to the fish. The cans are sterilized at 118º, thus guaranteeing the longevity and safety of this product.

Conservation, use and harmonization

Minerva pastes don’t need any refrigeration and combine with any side dish. It must be served at room temperature, in its entirety after opening. Easy to transport, this product can be consumed on any occasion, as a quick snack, spread on bread or toasts or as the base for delicious appetizers.
