Small Sparkling Raindrop
Follow a small sparkling raindrop falling from a cloud and learn about the journey it takes and the contribution it makes to the ecosystems of our mountains, rivers, and seas

Start Small, Think Big is a series that sets readers on a journey of discovery, beginning from the small and familiar to new areas of knowledge where you really have to think big! Small Sparkling Raindrop starts with a raindrop falling from a cloud, the beginning of its journey to the sea. It lands on a mountainside in southeast Asia and rolls down the mountain to join the mighty Mekong River. This is the story of the water cycle and other key elementary-grade science topics, including its impact on the land and how vital it is for all living things on Earth. Thinking big, the book shows why clean, healthy rivers are vital for people and wildlife, including the critically endangered Irawaddy dolphin threatened by overfishing and pollution. A big fold-out map shows the major rivers of the world, an illustrated water cycle, and there’s an I-Spy game to take children back into the book to further deepen the learning experience.

Soil to Table: The Land Gardeners - THAMES & HUDSON
Recipes for Healthy Soil and Food
Henrietta Courtauld, Bridget Elworthy

Reflecting on the link between the health of our soils and what we eat, Soil to Table is filled with ideas and wisdom about how to care for your soil and includes recipes from chef Lulu Cox

Soil is a delicate ecosystem made up of minerals, water, air, plant roots, organic matter, insects and a complex web of micro-organisms. We rely on its health for our food and our future - just as caring for the gut flora within our intestines is vital to human wellbeing, so too is caring for the microbes in the soil the essence of soil health.

Following on from their bestselling book The Land Gardeners: Cut Flowers, authors and gardeners Bridget Elworthy and Henrietta Courtauld explore the full cycle of soil to table. From the microbes in the soil to the seasoning in your dishes, each plays an important role in contributing to a delicious and nutritious meal.

With recipes from chef Lulu Cox and paintings by Nancy Cadogan, Soil to Table is a celebration of the garden and an informative guide to cultivating healthy soil in order to produce glorious food.

About the Author
Bridget Elworthy and Henrietta Courtauld both trained and worked as lawyers before studying garden design. Henrietta went on to work with landscape and garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith and then started her own garden design business. Bridget went on to study horticulture in London before spending three years back in her native New Zealand, where she grew peonies on the family farm, Craigmore, before moving to Wardington Manor. As The Land Gardeners, both Henrietta and Bridget now specialise in the design of
productive gardens - particularly walled gardens. They have combined forces to research soil health and its importance as the source of plant, animal, human and, ultimately, planetary health. They launched The Farm Project to make high-quality, microbially rich compost on a large scale, with the goal of empowering growers and farmers to do the same. Their book The Land Gardeners: Cut Flowers was published by Thames & Hudson in 2019.

Sophia Loren by Maria De Campos
Maria De Campos is a Portuguese painter born in 1977. She currently lives and works in Paris. Maria De Campos graduated from the Regional School of Fine Arts of Valencia. It was in Valencia where she became passionate about expressing herself through visual arts, particularly contemporary images. Maria's painting is influenced by several diverse styles, ranging from Pop Art to Expressionism. Maria is particularly fascinated with famous people from the 20th century. Maria’s work satirizes and celebrates materiality and celebrity. On the one hand, her paintings of distorted celebrities faces could be read as a critique of what Maria views as a culture obsessed with money and fame. On the other hand, the paintings suggest a life that celebrates cultures throughout the world.

In her imagery and repertoire of celebrities, Maria De Campos wants to break the stereotypes that people can have about these personalities. The faces are treated with melancholy and poetry, dissimulated behind raw color and text fragments. Her pieces are undeniably contemporary and topical. Maria’s work has been on display in various shows and is in permanent collections of corporations and collections throughout the world.

Spritz Fever!
Spritz Fever! Sixty Champagne and Sparkling Wine Cocktails

Author Elouise Anders, Illustrated by Sarah Hankinson

Become a certified fizz whiz with this illustrated guide to creating sixty ultra-refreshing spritz cocktails.

The 60 spritz recipes in Spritz Fever! are in the cocktail style of the decade. Seeing as most spritzes are low(ish) in ABV (well, certainly lower than wine, anyway), they're the ideal companion for any day-drinking event. Plus, as most Instagram feeds can attest, spritzes aren't just a drink...they're a lifestyle. These bubbly wonders speak to a careless Italian summer spent reclining by the beach in fine and flowing linen.

What can be so easy to forget is that spritzes are so much more than just Aperol and bubbles. In this book, you'll learn about the classic European liqueurs, like Cynar, Campari, Luxardo Bitter, Meletti, and more. Moreover, you'll discover the nuances between prosecco, cava, and champagne can create different textures as the bubbles in each effervesce uniquely. Plus, read up on how citrus garnishes must be matched appropriately to each drink's flavor profile and, of course, color. Above all, the perfect ratio of liqueur-to-bubbles changes for each recipe. Spritz Fever! explains all of this, alongside its dreamy illustrations.

It's time you get to the very essence of effervescence. Your next party guests will love all the cocktail recipes you glean from Spritz Fever!, and just in time for summer!

Surf Style at Home
by Raili Clasen

“A guide as easy and laid-back as the surfer style that inspired it. Will make readers want to add intriguing beachy design features into their own homes.”―Library Journal

The first how-to design book for capturing the effortlessly cool and playful style of California surf culture from the designer of Kelly Slater’s famous Surf Ranch.

“Crank up the color,” “Landscape your living room,” and “Adult summer camp vibes” are just a handful of the mantras that drive California interior designer Raili Clasen’s eclectic surf style. Raili grew up taking two long bus rides to the beach in Orange County, CA, so that she could drink up the cool surfer fashion, laid-back atmosphere, and retro surfboard decor and bring it all right home to her bedroom. Drawing from those early days of design experimentation and a career that took her from Raisins Swimwear to Quiksilver, Roxy, and Paul Frank―Raili is known for bottling up the spirit of surf culture and spraying it joyfully all over the homes she designs.

Surf Style at Home takes readers into Raili’s colorful, surf-inspired, checkerboard-printed mind through homes she’s designed ― from quirky old beach cottages and an Alabama lake house to sprawling new-construction homes in Newport Beach, Montana’s Yellowstone Club, and beyond.

Raili cheers on readers to take that feeling they get from their favorite vacation spot or boutique hotel and bring it into their own space. Tips on maximizing outdoor spaces, utilizing earthy materials like leather and rope, and infusing your favorite song lyrics or family phrases to create uniquely personal spaces that are inviting, playful, and friendly. Featuring every design element from tile and color to textiles and plants, this is THE book on achieving surf style in your own home―regardless of where you live.
